1. Introduction

StreamCoach ("we," "our," or "us") operates the service from British Columbia, Canada. We are committed to compliance with applicable data protection laws, including PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (Europe/UK), and CCPA/CPRA (California).

2. Information We Collect & How We Process It

2.1 Audio Data (Zero-Knowledge)

  • Local Processing: Audio analysis happens locally on your device via the Web Audio API.
  • No Recording: We do NOT record, store, or transmit your voice data to our servers.
  • No Biometrics: We do not collect voiceprints or biometric identifiers.

2.2 Personal Data

We collect:

  • Account Info: Email, User ID (via Supabase).
  • Billing Info: Payment history and subscription status (via Stripe/RevenueCat). We do not touch or store raw credit card numbers.
  • Device Data: IP address, browser type, and operating system (via PostHog/Mixpanel).

3. International Data Transfers (Crucial)

Our servers and third-party service providers (Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI) are primarily located in the United States.

By using the Service, you explicitly acknowledge and consent to:

  • The transfer of your data to the United States and Canada.
  • The storage and processing of your data in jurisdictions that may have different privacy laws than your home country.

4. Third-Party Processors

We utilize the following processors. Each is vetted for security and compliance:

  • Supabase: Authentication & Database (USA)
  • Stripe: Payments (USA)
  • RevenueCat: Subscription Infrastructure (USA)
  • Resend: Email Delivery (USA)
  • OpenAI: AI Prompt Generation (USA)

5. Your Rights (Global)

Regardless of your location, we extend these rights to all users:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of your data.
  • Right to Rectification: Fix errors in your data.
  • Right to Erasure: Delete your account and data ("Right to be Forgotten").
  • Right to Portability: Get your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Stop marketing emails or optional data collection.
  • California Residents (CCPA): We do not "sell" your personal data as defined by the CCPA.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax laws requiring us to keep transaction records for 7 years).
